There is a distant friend of mine who is a conservative, political activist who regularly insults and belittles ideological opponents on Facebook. A few weeks ago in one of his many cyber-arguments he quipped, “I am a social conservative and a Republican because of my faith in Christ.” A few days later, my wife and I were entering one of our favorite restaurants.
