It’s happening! Registration is officially OPEN for the Christians for Liberty 2015 Conference!

The details took a while to put together, but we are now fully operational. Learn more at the official conference page, or to register immediately click here. Here are a few of the additional details of interest…

LibertarianChristians.com invites you to join us in Austin, Texas on August 7-8, 2015 for the second annual Christians for Liberty Conference!

We said it last year, but we’ll say it again: you will not find any event like this anywhere else. Getting just a few Christian libertarians together in the same place can be difficult – putting hundreds in the same room is something you cannot miss! I hope that you are as excited as I am about this conference and the future of the Christian libertarian movement. I look forward to seeing you in Austin this August!

The Weekend’s Events and Venue

about_stedwards_top_level_03All events will take place at St. Edwards University (Mabee Ballroom, Ragsdale Center) in south Austin, just 15 minutes from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown Austin. The Ragsdale Center is at the corner of Andre and Moody Drive on the main campus, and the Mabee Ballroom is on the 2nd floor. Lunch and dinner on August 8th are included in your registration fee. Click here for a campus map, parking information will be forthcoming.

Following the end of formal activities at St. Edwards University, we invite everyone to a social hour at Opal Divine’s Penn Field, on South Congress less than half a mile south of St. Edwards (plenty of parking is available).

Speakers

We are currently booking speakers for the Christians for Liberty Conference, and we currently have confirmed the following to attend:

  • Lawrence Reed — President of the Foundation for Economics Education (FEE)
  • Doug Bandow — Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute
  • Dr. Norman Horn — Founder and Editor in Chief of LibertarianChristians.com
  • Jason Rink — Executive Director of the Foundation for a Free Society
  • Doug Stuart — Author at LibertarianChristians.com
  • Dr. Mark Cherry — Professor of Philosophy at St. Edwards University
  • Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty
  • and more to come!

We will also be building in plenty of time for discussion and fellowship over great food. Last year, attendees enjoyed the speakers but wanted more time to meet new people and just be Christians together. We listened and have made that a priority in this year’s schedule.

Discussing Christian faith and politics is tough. If you’re tired of the typical left/right answers that sound like they were pulled from last night’s cable news, then you need a new way of thinking about faith and politics. This book will help you take your political conversations to the next level.

In Faith Seeking Freedom, the Libertarian Christian Institute has gathered together some of the brightest minds at the intersection of Christianity and libertarianism to collect brief but thoughtful answers to over a hundred questions frequently posed to liberty-loving believers.
