I am very happy to announce the Christians For Liberty 2016 Conference will take place this August 6th at St. Edwards University. We are especially excited to welcome Dr. Robert Murphy as our first keynote speaker of the conference. Dr. Murphy is an exceptional economist and libertarian thinker. He is a scholar with the Mises Institute and a professional consultant, and he has authored acclaimed works such as the Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism, the Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal, Chaos Theory, and Choice: Cooperation, Enterprise, and Human Action. He also is the co-host of the Contra Krugman Podcast with Dr. Thomas Woods, and posts regular economics, cultural, and religious commentary at Free Advice.
But besides seeing Bob Murphy, why else would you want to attend the Christians For Liberty 2016 Conference?
The Christian libertarian movement has experienced tremendous growth over the past 6 years, and LibertarianChristians.com was at the forefront of that growth. Now, the Libertarian Christian Institute has been built on the foundation that LCC laid to push the cause of Christ and liberty ever forward.
All Christian libertarians encounter difficulties organizing and networking to help spread liberty ideas with our fellow Christians. Social networks, such as the Christian libertarian Facebook group, have had some success in bringing Christian libertarians together online, but the CFL conferences are a superb way of meeting face to face to encourage, learn, build up, and send out Christian libertarians with new mission.
This is the third annual Christians for Liberty Conference in Austin, Texas. For the past two years, well over a hundred dedicated Christians came together for intense weekends full of great speakers, fellowship with fellow libertarian Christians, and experiences with some of the best organizations in Texas and throughout the United States. Starting from there we have used this momentum to start small group meet-ups across the United States and establish the Libertarian Christian Institute as a leading organization in the libertarian and Christian communities.
We have said it before and we’ll say it again: you will not find any event like this anywhere else. Getting just a few Christian libertarians together in the same place can be difficult – putting hundreds in the same room is something you cannot miss!
You can always find the latest information about the conference at the Official Conference Page. Registration is not open quite yet, but you can sign up on the mailing list right now to be notified when it does. We look forward to seeing you in Austin this August!
