Jaired lives in Rolla, Missouri with his wife Tracy and their six children, whom they home educate. His hobbies currently include mountain-biking, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, board games, drawing, and writing fiction. Additional interests include all things J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.
Since best seller novels are hard to come by (especially since he’s barely writing anything these days), Jaired earns a living as a solo lawyer handling a general practice which includes civil litigation, estate planning, criminal law, and just about anything involving children—custody, guardianship, adoption, and tangling with Missouri’s “Children’s Division” (AKA the dreaded DFS). In recent years he has been the Missouri go-to-contact for a national organization that provides representation to members for Christian and home school families dealing with unwanted DFS contacts.
Spurred into action when Rolla instituted Covid related lockdowns and mask mandates, Jaired served for one term on the Rolla city council after defeating the incumbent. He learned the hard way that he isn’t a good politician, losing his bid for a second term. In theory, this frees up time to read more libertarian classics and write.
Jaired has BA degrees in History and English from UMR (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) and his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law.
I drew swords on all my law school class notes, so my law review buddies gifted me a miniature Anduril. 17 years later my children pitched in and bought me the full-sized movie replica for Christmas.
