Guy Monahan

Guy was born halfway through the last century and raised in Illinois outside of Chicago. His father was apolitical from as far back as he can remember and had a passion for sound free market economics. His mother was a traditional housewife and mother, but was a force to be reckoned with and the glue that held the family together.

The turning point in his young life was when his brother reported to dad that the public school social studies teacher declared the prosperity enjoyed by the students was their good fortune bestowed on them by the government.

The next school year Guy’s older brother and he were sent to private schools teaching basic and critical thinking skills, classical Western history and culture, and Guy’s favorite subject – free markets. Both sons attended two of the earliest founded libertarian-based K-12 schools in Wisconsin and Kansas.

The two brothers ventured west for high school, college, and work, but Guy kept going… past the West Coast to Hawaii. He worked in telecommunications for 35 years on Oahu. But living in the socialist paradise of Hawaii motivated Guy in his spare time to introduce his sons and fellow islanders to critical thinking skills; but it was no match for the state’s hypnosis of Aloha, beaches and ocean. Something for which the state government illicitly took credit to lull people to sleep.

The next major turning point in Guy’s life was the realization that the libertarian life was valuable, but his search for meaning was not yet over after his first marriage crumbled. He started to recognize the all encompassing dynamics of Creation and his good fortune of living in a place of immense majestic beauty that he had been taking for granted.

Guy now lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with his wife amongst the mountains, wildlife, and trees as a grateful Christian, writer, content creator, and volunteer for; with the hope of returning Americans back to the principles of liberty and the great “I Am.”
