Ep 118: The New Deal’s War on the Bill of Rights with David Beito
In this episode I talk with Dr. David Beito, who is a research fellow at the Independent Institute and professor emeritus at the University of Alabama, about his brand-new book ‘The New Deal’s War on the Bill of Rights’, in which he explains how the Roosevelt administration and his supporters systematically eroded Constitutionally-protected rights. Not only do we discuss the Japanese internment camps, but we look at how his administration loyalists spied on American citizens, censored newspapers and radio producers, persecuted black Republicans, and criminally prosecuted World War II dissenters. This book is an incredible presentation of a rarely told chapter of American history that you won’t want to miss!
