Ep 59: Anarchy and Christianity with Jacob Winograd
Jacob Winograd, host of the Biblical Anarchy podcast, joins me on this episode to discuss anarchism. The word ‘anarchy’ is often used synonymously with terms like ‘chaos’, ‘disorder’, and ‘lawlessness’, but Jacob argues that anarchy actually means not giving one institution in society a monopoly on power and instead produces cooperation and peace through decentralized, voluntary association and hierarchy. He contents that we have misunderstood the word and that it is the ideal political arrangement. We then discuss the compatibility between anarchy, the Bible, and Christian faith, and explore the current state of the liberty movement in the US.
