Nick Gausling is a businessman who has previously served the Libertarian Christian Institute in several capacities. He presently serves as a member of the Advisory Board and as Assistant Editor of Christian Libertarian Review.
Nick became a Christian around the time he was a college freshman; he shifted from neoconservatism to libertarianism several years later. He is passionate about liberty chiefly because statism opposes the lordship of Christ. He believes that not only is institutionalized violence contrary to Christian ethics, but also that state power diminishes the influence of churches, families, and other voluntary associations which are necessary for authentic community and human flourishing to the glory of God.
Nick holds a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Christian and Classical Studies. His primary intellectual interests include theology, history, economics, philosophy and classical literature.
