While the most beneficial way to read these tweets is by following them live during the GOP debate on Thursday, for the record, here are my quick comments:

Uh, Newt, how do you go back to “sound money” with a central bank?

Worst question tonight: “Will you submit to your husband?” (to Bachmann)

@RonPaul pointing out that WE—the US—started the conflict with Iran decades ago.

Newt, calling out “gotcha questions” doest win elections.

Mitt Romney invokes 10th amendment. Good call. Still a bad law, but constitutional

Is it no wonder that the only candidate not asked about their problematic record is @RonPaul?

ummm, Rick, we don’t see you on TV cuz you ain’t got a chance of winning

@RonPaul never has enough time… not a great talking points guy, but can at least speak clearly…

Christian Libertarian Tweets

If you are a Twitter user, then you might be interested to know that I recently created a Christian Libertarian Twitter Group that anyone can follow. As of April 7, 2010, it has 26 people listed and 7 followers but I would very much like to see it grow – especially with LCC readers!

So, if you’re on Twitter (or you have been thinking about joining) then let me know in the comments and I would be happy to follow you and add you to the list. I’m pretty sure that there must be more than a few LCC readers in my 500+ followers that ought to be included.

Twitter really is a lot of fun to dip in and out of to converse with people, spread information, and see what news is catching people’s attention. I very much enjoy it.

Oh, and don’t forget to follow me while you’re at it!

If President Obama Twittered

For the uninitiated…

Twitter is a nifty “micro-blogging” service where you are limited to no more than 140 characters to say anything. It is kind of like a mix of instant messaging, blogging, and Facebook status updates, but without the fees, the need to write a whole lot, and the clutter of Facebook. Twitter also has a unique way of allowing conversations between other “tweets” (people who use twitter) through “@replies” and “direct messages.”

If you’ve never tried it, you might consider checking it out because it is pretty fun. I’ve been able to meet a number of LCC readers through twitter – in fact I even met one of them at the Austrian Scholars Conference two weeks ago! What a surprise that was!

By the way, Mr. Obama really does use Twitter, he just doesn’t update much. It’s more interesting to check out people like Levar Burton and Brent Spiner (Geordi LaForge and Data on Star Trek).

Facebook Page Now Online

Yesterday, I created a page on Facebook for LibertarianChristians.com, check it out here and become a fan. At the page, you can keep track of LCC posts, meet other LCC readers, post links on the wall, post your own videos, and start discussion topics. I hope that you find it a useful and fun place to get involved!

By the way, if you haven’t already, you can feel free add me as a friend on Facebook as well. However, I do ask that if you add me you should write a little message saying that you are an LCC reader. This way I’ll be able to remember how I know you!

Also, many of you use Twitter, an exciting new service that allows you to quickly post messages of 140 characters or less to your friends. It is becoming more and more popular – and furthermore it doesn’t look like a mere fad. At any rate, you can find me on Twitter as well. Follow me and I’ll be sure to follow you back!
