]]> In mid-October, the Libertarian Longhorns hosted the third annual Students for Liberty Austin Conference. I had the opportunity to speak at the conference in the student panel about activism, involvement, and my experiences in the liberty movement. While I felt I rambled a bit at times, I’ve been told by a number of people that it was inspiring. It may be most relevant to students out there, but here it is for your listening pleasure. ]]> Have you heard of LearnLiberty.org? If not, you should check it out. It’s a great resource of video content for, you guessed it, learning about liberty. I love these videos by Art Carden (a fellow Christian libertarian) called “Trade is Made of Win.”

Consider this question for a moment: If you were asked to explain why a free market is a good thing, how would you do it? What would come to mind? In less than 10 minutes of watching these videos, you can understand the benefits of trade and be ready to explain it to someone else.

]]> I love economics and truly believe understanding it is critical to the further spread of liberty. Check out this awesome video from Reason TV about teaching and learning that applies not only to understanding economics, but to any subject or curriculum. I am a vocal critic of public education and am excited to see people like this with fresh ideas to revolutionize the way we learn. (This guy is a Montessori advocate, which I think is great!)

]]> This fantastic video reminds us of how amazing the free market truly is. We should never forget how people working freely together will help lift all boats in ways no one can anticipate. Don’t let anyone tell you that God wants a socialist economy, EVER. Such thoughts are completely fallacious, and completely antithetical to how God intends for us to live together.

Freedom is the default.

(Great job Students for Liberty friend Michelle Fields as well. If I recall correctly, she is a student at Church of Christ-based Pepperdine University as well! Michelle, if you’re an LCC reader please comment so we can all brag on you a bit…)
