Christians for Liberty Conference Date: August 2nd, 2014

We received a very positive response from everyone regarding the Christians for Liberty Conference to be held this summer. Initially, we had not set a date and we asked you for your input through a brief survey. Many thanks to all the respondents who took the survey. If every single one of you shows up, there will easily be over 100 people present already!

More importantly, we are now ready to announce that August 2nd, 2014 is the date set for the conference. It will be indeed be in Austin, Texas, and we are fervently planning for your arrival even today.

Registration will be open this week, but we are not 100% ready to open the gates quite yet. Still, I am so excited about what is going to happen that I could not resist posting a little more about it for you. There will be more to come in the very near future as well!

Militarism and Easter

On this Good Friday, Christians are focused on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as a propitiation for the sins of the world. But on every other day of the year (expect perhaps Christmas), many Christians are focused on some other people in the Bible.

The Bible on several occasions likens a Christian to a soldier (Philippians 2:25, 2 Timothy 2:3, Philemon 2). As soldiers, Christians are admonished to “put on the whole armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11). The Apostle Paul, who himself said: “I have fought a good fight” (2 Timothy 4:7), told a young minister to “war a good warfare” (1 Timothy 1:18).
