News of the Week: Japan and Libya

Recapping the interesting and noteworthy events of the past week.

Over the last seven days, Japan has seen a terrible natural disaster and another country in the Middle East was bombed by the United States. Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama ordered missile strikes on Libya, supposedly to protect civilians.

Here is the speech he made before the act of aggression.

This is just one more instance showing that Obama is just Bush #3. Isn’t it interesting how the US never calls for a no-fly zone when Israel bombs Palestinian civilians? (HT David Kramer.)

Can we please get back to a foreign policy that does NOT involve policing the world and starting endless wars?
