That last chart is funny, but sadly so true. I live on a street that requires a u-turn at a light if I want to head south, and there is a new turnaround that they built to facilitate that, but you have to wait at a separate light to use it. Very annoying. Lots of people just pull U-turns anyway, but I usually just take the assigned route.

Yesterday, just after reading this post, I was stopped at the light, waiting to turn left. There is a BIG "no U-Turn" sign above the light.

A cop was first in line, right in front of me, also waiting to turn left.

While waiting, I was thinking about this post, and going "I wonder if this cop is going to break the law and pull a u-turn…" and sure enough! He did!

I was like … what the heck! I was SO tempted to follow him, and I almost did… but I did the legal turn in the turnaround … grrr.

It made me a bit ticked off. If I wasn't on a tight time schedule, I would have followed him till he stopped and asked him a few questions.

Today I pulled up to the same light, and pulled a u-turn. I'm going to continue to do that from time to time, if I think it's perfectly safe. I'll let you know how it goes if I get pulled over :)
