I'd probably implode the Fed first, but it's certainly up for debate! ;-)

I was once asked, if I had a magic red button that would implode a government agency, what agency would I destroy?

To me, the answer is simple: the IRS. Without them, the war on spending becomes moot because there is no collection to spend from.

For all intents and purposes, I am an anarcho-capitalist in the sense that I oppose the State and its violence, which includes taxation. But that does not mean that there is zero *governance*. And that governance, if you wish, could possibly be seen as minarchistic in nature so long as it is voluntary and does not aggress against neighbors that do not hold to the same system.

There is my three-sentence explanation of the issue. :-D Maybe that helps.

I'm enjoying the series.

The 'tax is theft' slogan makes me wonder if this blog is anarchist or minarchist. The term 'libertarian' seems to cover both these days. I'm actually doing my undergraduate thesis on anarcho-capitalism and its relationship to the libertarian movement, so it's an academic interest of mine.
